I had surgery over a year ago and have lost 100 lbs. I truly am happy about that but would like to lose another 25. Obviously, diet and exercise but what diet? Atkins isn't for me since its so high fat and I can't do that. I still have a hard time eating high protein (like beef, pork, poultry) but am finding some beef that I can finally eat. Unfortunately, the things that are easiest for me to eat are crunchy carbs that are (gasp) junk food. I need ideas for breakfast on the go, snacks, et al. Suggestions?

Slim Fast has a low carb breakfast bar out. 2-4g of carb and under 200 calories. They taste great.

Hiya Misty....I wonder if you would go back to the first stages of eating like you did after first having this surgery, if that would give your tool a jumpstart to start losing again? I think I have heard of others doing this also and it worked for them! Good Luck, Janet S

Hi Misty, you have done a good job. Keep looking for a protein that you can do - even if it's a protein drink. Some people like a protein drink with some fruit and mixed in the blender. Also, have you tried cheese sticks? They are a staple for me, I have 2 cheese sticks with a few fat free pretzals for breakfast. That way I get my protein and my crunch. Hang in there and keep searching for some protein you can tolerate. God bless, Andrea
