Several of my nurses were post-ops

During my hospital stay, I had the good fortune to meet several nurses in the program who had been through this surgery and done great. Actually, since Mercy Capitol is a teaching hospital, I also had the opportunity to teach some nursing students a few things on my 3rd day in the hospital. They were curious about the G-tube because they had only seen it used for input and not as the release that it is used for in this instance. They were so interested and eager to learn - it was a great experience for all of us. Also, one of the nursing students was 7 months post-op and shared her experience and her before/after pics with me. Great for both of us to connect with each other.
