Hi all, I have been very quiet for a long time due to business with work, a very ill father, and I had quite frankly given up hope. The light has brightened again..I have just started a new job and they offer health insurance that has been known to approve gastric bypass surgery. I am so excited I am beside myself, at the same time I'm wondering if it is too good to be true but I'm trying to believe that something good has actually happened and that this 26 year old can begin living her life soon!!!!!! Hope all is well with everyone. Miranda

Thanks to everyone. I am really hoping that this is the answer to all my prayers. I don't know if this makes any sense, but after all the crap I have had to go through it is really hard to believe that this could be happening. I just hope I'm setting myself up for another disappointment. Also, how long do you think I should wait before I decide to move forward with this, since I am at a brand new job. I was thinking at least through the probationary 90 period, then maybe move forward, but this is all so new to me. So I am a bit overwhelmed Thank you guys for your well wishes. Miranda

Miranda, I'm sorry that you have had such a rough time lately. Hope and pray that your father is well now. What a joy that you now have insurance that will cover the surgery. I would continue looking into it until the 90 day waiting period and then delve into it "full strength ahead". Good luck! God bless, Andrea

Thanks for the advice Andrea...I am just so anxious to get all this started!! Hoping that when I do it won't take another year to get all this approved! I got a summary of benefits from my insurance company and in the exclusions it doesn't mention wls at all, so I am taking that as a good thing, but I noticed that I couldn't find it anywhere in my benefits..Anyways since I didn't see it in the exclusions then I'm running with it!!!
