10 Days to go!!!!
I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and let everyone know that I am getting nervous. I cried yesterday for the first time since making this decission. It wasn't about the surgery it was about not seeing my son afterwards, if I end up in ICU. They don't usually let children in, but I fought it and she said if I talked to the nurses they might let him come in and say Hi. I know I will probably not feel up to seeing him that night, but I want the option if I am feeling up to it.
I went to my teaching appointment and learned all kinds of neat things about the tubes and the shots I will be giving myself and they will let someone else give them to me, so I might have to let my Mom do that. I just don't know if I can. I stabbed myself in the thumb yesterday when I was practicing. LOL!!! It was funny. Anyway, 10 days away and I will be a loser!!!!
Thanks for the messages everyone, they brighten my day.

Michelle,
i was in ICU 3 times for days first time for 3 days and the second time 5 days and then the last time i in there for 2 days and everytime they let my kids come in and see me cuz they new it was a big part of my recovery. they doctor can put it in your file to let your son in to see you. before you know it will be here there are going to be alot of different feelings coming on personally i was surprise. if you need anything let me know......good luck.......... lynda
Morning Michelle,
The next 10 days are going to fly by for you
As far as your hospital stay, it's not uncommon to be in ICU after recovery unless your doc has a different way. Most hospitals are pretty good about letting kids in to see you as it's an important to you for your recovery. Keep the positive attitude
Hugs
Carolyn
