Hi, my name is Brooke and I usually just post on the Illinois board because that is where I live, but my dad ... and my insurance is from Iowa. I have BC/BS Wellmark Alliance select and I was just wondering if anyone else has this? I just got a letter today saying I need a psych evaluation and a referal from a doctor. Did you all have to do this as well? Thanks so much! Brooke

I have the same insurance as you. You can read my profile or ask anything. My paperwork will be sent early next week for approval, so we'll see what happens.

Hi Brooke- I have the exact same insurance as you and it is awesome. Approved on first try and total out of pocket is $2000. Had to have all the testing also, goes quickly, so hang on for the ride. Good Luck! Melinda

Hi, Brooke. I have the same exact kind. I was approved Sept 24th after 6 days. They were awesome for me. A friend of mine with the same kind it took 16 days to get approved. I have heard they are one of the easier ones to get approved thru. Good luck to you. Michelle

Brooke, I'll be waiting right along with you, girl! My info was submitted this week. I was fortunate enough to have already done a lot of the things required, such as a sleep study (I have sleep apnea), and I already see a counselor on a regular basis, so they let me use her for my psych eval. I'm just waiting waiting waiting now. As others here have said, I have heard BC/BS is very snappy with their approvals. Regards, Molly

I have it too. Took just under 2 weeks & now I am 5 days post op. Moves fast once you get all the ducks in a row. Good luck.
