Genesis support group meeting tonight in Davenport

Hey, Andrea, I just got word yesterday that my cousin is going to have her surgery at Genesis on the 1st. I told her to look you up at support group meetings. You may have met her when Carnie was there last summer. She is Deb's MIL. Dixie

Dixie, I met her!! I asked the nurse manager if they plan to monitor patients that may get pregnant in the future, (my plans for the future). After the presentation at the meeting, your cousin said that her daughter was pg and showed me Deb and Jason's pictures. I said - hey, I know Deb. And we talked from there. She is going to be the first lap patient that my doc does. I didn't however, get her name! What a small world! God bless, Andrea

I'm glad you two met. Barb is such a sweet loving person. I hope all goes well for her. She told me she was going to be the first Lap patient for her surgeon. That kind of scared me until she said he had told her that he will open her up if there is a problem. I'm also glad to hear Deb is doing OK. I haven't heard anything about her lately & was wondering about her & the baby. Barb's last name is the same as Deb's. I better not post it but if you want me to tell you, e-mail me off list. Dixie

Dixie, Got her last name and glad to finally know her first name as well. I told her that I will be here to support her any way that I can. I will even be her angel if she would like. I did talk with Deb a couple of weeks ago because I was worried about her. She just works too darn much!! She said that everything was going fine with her and the baby, (yep - only one). Said that she lost weight at first and was now starting to put some weight on. She must have a tremendous amount of energy to keep up with all that she does AND be pg at the same time! Hopefully, I will talk to Barb again before surgery. Is she ever on here? Blessings, Andrea

I'm glad to hear that Deb is doing well. Just being pregnant is hard, after the surgery, that is, but to have twin toddlers plus teaching, well, I don't know how she does it. I don't believe that Barb is on here. I know she doesn't spend much time online, however, she e-mailed me again last night & told me she had met you & how nice you were to her. I will e-mail her & ask if I can pass her e-mail address along to you & then the two of you can work out the angel part. I doubt if she is aware of angels (in this instance) but would probably appreciate it. She said her Mother was coming down for the surgery so I hope to stop in at her house before she leaves next weekend to send some things along for Barb. Dixie

Jesi, I was so bummed that you could not go. As a matter of fact, when I told Mark, he said (mockingly), "Oh, but I gotta see my Jesi!" (Darn husbands!!) Stephanie went with me, too. Hello Andrea, just wanted to let you know I wont be making it my husband made special resavations for dinner and didnt tell me till the last miniute hes on his 7 days off and dont have the kids so he wanted to take me out.
