Had difficulty eating and vomiting, so dr. wanted to take a look and no big surprise he found a very narrow opening. He tried to open it all the way but only got to a nickel size, so I go back in two weeks to get the stricture opened some more. Has anyone else had difficulities with strictures?

Sorry to hear you have problems. I haven't had this problem personally but I know of a gal that did. Good luck to you & keep us posted. Carolyn

I don't have any personal experience myself.......But they can be pretty common. I hear after a few dilations people are usually as good as new. And it will now be easier to detect because you know what they feel like! I would go to the library section of the boards.....I am sure there will be tons of info there about strictures.......Good luck and I hope you get this resolved soon!!! Take Care JEsi

I had a stricture after surgery. It is not uncommon to have to have the scope done 2 or 3 times to get the opening where it needs to be. Once they took care of the scricture, I had no problems at all. Its frustrating while its going on- but once its taken care of- you'll find everything is just fine! Good Luck and be patient!
