First off, thanks to everyone for the support. I couldn't get to the computer fast enough after my encounter with the cardiologist. My family was supportive but I know they don't understand and, being slim, can't understand how I was feeling afterward. I knew this was THE PLACE to be! Now the update. I did speak to Dr G's nurse Lynne. She was totally amazed at my experience with cardiologist. She is going to call them and see if she can get a better date for the stress test. I had my 2nd sleep study Thurs night. Slept like a baby all night with the mask. Can't wait to get one at home. Mask was quite tolerable. I see the pulmonologist next Tuesday for results and a prescription for the machine. Got the nerve up to call my insurance company, AGAIN. They finally have the approval from the company they hire to do the 'pre-determination'. I was approved in AUGUST. Had I not investigated why they hadn't payed a few claims, I would have never known about the "lack of communication between the two". Me, Dr. G's office, and the hospital all rec letters saying I had approval and it said that they had CC'd my ins co. So I assumed..... Alas.....never, ever, ASS-U-ME when it comes to an ins co!! Could you imagine if I hadn't known til after surgery. Oh man what a mess that would have been!! Hope everyone has a good week end. Hugs and happy thoughts to all Sheila

It truly is amazing how big huge companys have such little communication sometimes.....but your doing the right thing by being vocal and figuring out things for yourself....Way to go!!! I am glad you have a good sleep test.....I hear that the mask and everything truly makes a huge difference in the quality of sleep one gets! I hope you get used to it quick......who knows after surgery and droppin some weight, you might not need it much longer!!! That whole experience with the cardiologist was crazy......I hope the office pulls for you and gets you in faster or with a more caring/listening doctor!!! Best of luck to you and Take Care Jesi
