I have NEWS (LONG)
Well, first I want to thank everyone on here who has replied to me. It seems like I can find out anything I want to know here. I enjoy getting replies from everyone. It lets me know that I am not alone.
Ok, now my news. I had posted the other day about how discouraged I was getting. The surgeons office called me yesterday and guess what? They want to go ahead and schedule. Even though I haven't lost the entire 30lbs. They had called me to tell me to take my smart card to the sleep doc and asked me if there was anything stopping me from having surgery. I told them that the surgeon wanted me to lose 30lbs and I told them that I am working out 3 X's a week and drinking 72 oz of water every day and I have lost 3 lbs since 9/24. And I told them I was going to weigh in Friday (which is today). I asked if they could recommend a surgeon who could handle someone with my BMI and she said she would have the administrator call me back. The nurse called me back in about a half an hour. She told me that she talked to the administrator and to the surgeon and Dr Calhalan will do the surgery. She asked me to come in to meet with him on Tuesday to schedule. I told her I will make it work.
I am soooo HAPPY!!!! I can't stand it!!!!!!! I took my card to the sleep doc who told me that they were trying to get me cleared for a 10/25 date. BUT yet another snag....5 of the 14 days that they downloaded showed that I did not keep the Auto PAP on for 4 hours. I told her I had a BAD cold and couldn't sleep with it on. My nose was either stuffed or running. I am waiting on a call from the sleep doc. Wish me luck! I wear it every night. The last two nights I wore it for over 5 hours. We'll see what she says.
I don't want to do it the 25th for money reasons. I would like to wait til the 1st of November. I will have to see what they say on the 19th. MAN, I am going to go CRAZY!!!! Another happy note. I have lost 3 more lbs since two weeks ago Friday (I'm not counting the weigh ins at night because I weighed more). So, I am now down 6 lbs and I told the nurse only 3. I am SOOO HAPPY!!!!
I just had to share.
Thanks,
Michelle
