Sad Day For Us

Loren (my huband) called me yesterday with the sad & shocking news his brother Claire died of a heart attack. Claire had just turned 52 last weekend. He was getting up for work & talking to his wife when he said he didn't feel quite right. She called 911 & he was having a heart attack at that time. On the way to the hospital he had another one & this time they couldn't bring him back. He had high blood pressure & for some reason he never got himself to the doc to get meds for it. It was especially hard telling Katie as she is very close with them. They have 3 children, Sara just graduated from high school this past year, Mike is 16 & Jen is 14. Even though Loren & I have been separated for a couple of years I'm still close to the family & Loren & I remain the best of friends as well. Claire will be living on through other people as he was a tissue & eye donor. Please everyone, DO NOT ignore high blood pressure, it really is a silent killer. Carolyn
