Diagnosis: Stricture

Went to my surgeon's appointment Monday. We were a little late for the appointment, but the surgeon wanted to reschedule, anyway. So, I didn't get to see him. However, I did explain in great detail the issues with throwing up anything I eat or drink with one of the nurses there in the office. Lo and behold, the nurse referred me to a different specialist, who did a scope (first thing this morning), and it turns out that I had a stricture. They've already fixed it, and I feel SO great and wonderful this afternoon. The difference is between night and day. I might have to have another one, but won't know for a while. Very simple procedure, by the way. So, YAY! I'm a pretty happy postop patient today. I can't wait to eat something solid (but it'll be a week or so from now). I'll keep you posted. Thanks for all your prayers and support!!!!! Kay

Good that you found out what is going on!!! I hear strictures can happen to anyone, luck of the draw I guess!! You might get more than one, but next time you will be aware of the symptoms and can be dilated right away to avoid the pain and stuff! Wishing you noting but the best...Take Care Jesi

Kay, I could "hear" your relief in your post! So glad that you found out what was gonig on and were able to get it fixed. I'm sure that you can't wait for some solid foods that WILL STAY DOWN!!! Hopefully, you won't have to have another scope. God bless, Andrea P.S. Sorry that my response if so late - little time on the computer this week.
