Good afternoon, Wow - was it some week last week and this week promises to be just as busy - hopefully, not as sickly, though. Not only did I have the sinus infection, my family, including hubby and I had the stomach virus also. For those of you that were wondering, I saw the neurologist this afternoon and he said all my labs were fine. I go in Thursday for a nerve check and MRI to see if there is anything going on in my back. Will update when I find out. Well, goals stunk last week, so here are new ones: 1) Eat 3 meals and 2 snacks - NO MORE THAN THAT - NO GRAZING 2) Drink (not alchohol ) or exercise when I feel the need to graze 3) Get to the gym - didn't last week due to illnesses 4) Get paperwork done at work 5) Start working on independent study Well, those goals will tie up more hours than are available this week. Off topic question of the week: How many children, if any, do you have and do you plan to have more? I have Danny - (he'll be 18 this Friday), Anna Marie - almost 8, and Micah Day - 2. I do want another one and maybe to adopt or foster some children someday. Hope to hear from you all! God bless, Andrea

Great news about the labs.....Hopefully it will end up just being a nerve pinched or something! I hope you are feeling better now! How are you feeling with not working out for a week, has your mood and energy dropped? I always wondered about that! Jesi, You are doing so good with goals!! You have been posting and everything! Good for you. About the exercise - I do miss it and wasn't able to go last night or tonight. It stinks. I'm in a funk now - life seems to be going too fast for me and I can't seem to catch up. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I think that I need a vacation from life in general and some Andrea time - maybe a relaxing bath tonight with smelly bath crystals. Yep - that will make life better!! Now, Madi is not a trouble maker, is she? I love that - that she keeps your hands Plum full!! I'll trade ya and give you Micah for a day -= you and hubby will be running to bring him back!! Keep up the great work on goals and heal fast! Blessings, Andrea

I have only one goal this week- MAKE IT below 200! I am still at 202 so think it could be anyday. I may just have to start keeping a food log to see if I am causing this slow loss. I am getting mightly sick of this. I have three sweet little boys...oh, wait, it's not 1984, it's 2004. I have three wonderful grown sons. Doug is 32 (oh, I'm old!) He farms with us & is married to the cows so he still lives with us in the basement. Matthew is almost 31. He also is single, owns an acrage, and last year left his job to come home & farm with us also, but he hates cows (like his mother) so he works in the field & does as little relief milking as possible. Ben is my baby, 27 and he is married for 6 months to Kerensa. He works as John Deere tractor mechanic and I hope in a few years will make me a grandma, but I am not pressuring them (yet). Dixie

Alright, Dixie, now it is the end of the week - are you under 200 yet? I bet that you are. Remember, water, weater, water. The food log also helps to keep you accountable. Wow - you're certainly not old enough to have three children that age! Now, what is the attraction to the cows and the farm for those older boys, don't they want the wife and house, too?? Hope that your week treated you well! God bless, Andrea

I'm sorry to report that, No, I am not there yet. If anything, I have gone backwards! I am so frustrated. Although I haven't been writing it down, I have been keeping track of my eating & I am doing everything OK. Today I am writing it down so I can take my diary to the dietician if it keeps up. Maybe she can show me what I am doing wrong. In addition, I am trying to cut back on sodium, and am trying to make everything, or almost everything, I eat mostly protein. I do know that I retain water. I can tell the difference from one day to the next. On the plus side, yesterday after my water exercise class, one of the ladies asked me how much I had lost recently. When I told her that it wasn't much, she said that she had noticed that my body was smaller than when I started exercising with them a couple months ago. That prompted me to check the log that I keep there & when I met with the trainer I was at 217. That was about 6 weeks ago so 15 lbs is not bad for 6 weeks. If I could keep that up, I'd be very happy. I think I'm going to have Danielle measure me again to see if there has been much of a change. Now about the boys, I can only say that they are their father's sons and that is all they have ever known. They love farming. I expect that someday Matt will marry if he finds the right woman but not sure about Doug. He seems to have bad luck with women. They are either crazy (yes, there was one that was certifiable!) or already married. It's too bad. He loves kids & would be a wonderful Dad if given the chance. All three of them would be great dad's, for that matter. Thanks for thinking I'm not old enough but unfortunately, I am. I was 21 when Doug was born and am 53 now. However, I do look lots younger now without the fat. Dixie

Dixie, 15 pounds in 6 weeks is a wonderful loss! Add to that the muscle that you are building and you are doing wonderfully! Don't worry, I'll still probably be at 198 when you get down under 200. My loss is really slowing! Hang in there and God bless, Andrea

Hello all! I didn't post much last week and only lurked a little. My life just seems to get fuller and fuller. My son moved back home from Denver CO and is going to finish college from home. My niece and her daughter have found a house and are in the process of moving out. My daughter, a Senior in High School, is being quarenteened for Whooping Cough, so all of us have to take the meds. I only got out to Curves once last week, and I am feeling rather run down. Weight lose is going well, I am down to 163 and a size 14 (was 242 before surgery and size 24). Fluids are going better, protien is still good. Goals for the week: Curves Fluids Protien Husband As for the OT question. My husband and I have a son (20), and a daughter (18). We also raised my brother's step daughter (now 25), and her 3 year old daughter (I am grandma to her), and I took in one of my students for a year and a half (her mother would rather do drugs than raise her children), she is also 18 and just went off to college in MO. I have 4 kids in my 4H club that think they are moving in soon as well. All of these terrific kids keep me really busy and inspried to do my best and set a good example. Have a good week! TTFN Jackie

Oh my goodness Jackie, whooping cough and kids moving in and out is enough to drive me to eat!! I was beginning to feel run down after not being to the gym in a week and a half. Then I realized that it was going to the gym that kept me going and full of energy. Now that I have been back, I feel better. I bet that you will also when you get back to Curves. Wow - you must really have a nack for taking in kids. Isn't it wonderful what love you can give out - and then how very much we get back???!!! Hope your week was not as busy! God bless, Andrea
