Safe and Sound! I had my surgery Thursday morning and everything went well! He said I would have never have gotten better without the surgery because of a damaged uterus and abdominal wall from my previous c-section....He wanted to know the name of the Dr who did the c-section he was NOT happy! Also he was able to save my ovaries....one was a couple times the size and filled with a cyst, but he was able to rupture the cyst and burn the lining, hoping no more cysts will grow in there.....So with two ovaries I will be making my own hormones and no HRT! He wants to do an ultrasound in a month or two and make sure the cyst doesn't return.....he says if it does it is an easy in and out(same day surgery thing) lap procedure to take it out quick! I was released yesterday morning! I am doing good pain wise, much easier than gastric bypass thats for sure! I have a lot of staples He is kinda worried about me healing, hes not sure if the "SKIN" is gonna bond together well.....he didn't even think of it until he tryed closing me up....with all the extra skin he said it was like trying to staple cotton balls or sheets together, not real easy! He said I would be approved for tummy tuck if it doesn't heal.....but there is NO WAY I wanna have another surgery anytime soon I came home and my house wasn't destroyed.....surprise surprise.....though my kids hadn't had a bath since Wednesday.......lol....hubby has a hard time handling the girls! Thanks to Andrea for keeping in touch with me! Thanks to everyone else for all the well wishes too!!! They did try to starve me while I was in the hospital....they just couldn't figure out how to feed someone who asked for no sugar.....CRAZY!!!! I basically lived off of coffee for two days! I didn't gain any water weight I am actually down to 167 now...woohoo!! Everyone thanks again and have a GREAT weekend.....it is beautiful out there.....I know I shouldn't have, but we went to the pumpkin patch this morning.......it was such a nice morning......and the walking feels great! Take Care Jesi

Jesi Welcome home! Glad to hear everything is going smoothly for you. I'm sure the stroll at the pumpkin patch didn't hurt a thing. Fresh air and sunshine are wonderful healers!! Have a good week! Sheila

Welcome home Jesi Nahhh the walk didn't hurt you... I'm not one to keep down so was out walking soon as I got home also! Had a friend with me as I don't think it's to safe to walk by yourself for a few days just fresh out of the hospital. Glad to hear you are feeling good. Keep us posted. Aren't hospitals something? they just don't have a clue! Carolyn

Jesi.... I am so glad you are home and everything went well for you. I have been thinking about you daily and wished I could have known a bit earlier about this surgery. I would have come to visit you or at least sent ya a Get Well card but didn't know where exactly you were. The weekend was beautiful......even though I had to work this weekend. The leaf lookers were plentiful! Take care of yourself! Much Luv~ Stacy Wis.

Jesi Glad to hear that every thing went well with your surgery. Its always good to be home after a hospital stay, especailly when you come home and your house is still in one piece!!! Thanks for your help with the protein drinks. Got them the next day. Your good!! and quick. Thanks so much. Unfortunatley there wasn't a big yum yum with any of them. The mocha one wasn't bad....................... we'll just leave it at that. Thanks Again!!

Welcome home, welcome home, welcome home!! Now, remember to get some rest, will ya? Hopefully your mom will be able to help you out and you won't have to do too much around the house. I know that hubbies are well-intended, but.........................they just don't do the job that we do, right??? Sorry again that I didn't get up to the hospital to see you - but you wouldn't have wanted the flu and sinus stuff that I have had. (Still fighting the sinus stuff). Well, take it easy, dear. I'll talk to you soon. God bless, Andrea

Hi Honey.... I am glad you did well. You make sure Little Miss that you don't get too ahead of yourself and end up in bed. I'm sorry this is so late but it is the first time this week I have had a chance to see the board. It is midterms week... Take care and tell those girls to keep mommy happy. Hugs Melinda
