Vomiting
Lately, I have been having an terrible time with vomiting and nausea. It seems like every day I'm throwing something up. The doctors aren't concerned, because I am able to get somethings down. Does this last forever? Also, I'm not able to eat any meat - too hard on my stomach, but I am able to eat sweets. Does it get easier as time goes by to eat meats and other things? I am 6 weeks post op.
Hi!
You are still pretty early out yet. Sweets? And you aren't dumping? WOW! Are you possibly eating to fast? Know I have a tendency to vomit if I eat to fast I get air then am miserable for awhile. What kind of meat are you trying to eat? Everyone is different & their pouches handle foods differently. Can you eat tuna? Make sure the meat is good & moist also. Yes, it does get easier it's a whole new experience!

Hiya...Hang in there, I do think it does get better! I too had a spell with vomitting, and heck I still do once in awhile! Ive never had a big problem with meat, just once in awhile it will get stuck, and I think that is from trying to eat to fast and devouring it. Just remember to chew chew chew and keep trying as it is a hit and miss situation! I have never had a real big problem with sweets either unfortunately, but I do limit myself to a bite, when I do treat myself!
So again Hang in there, take one day at a time!

Unfortunatley carbs are much easier to go down and stay down than the importnat stuff......but we need the important stuff and not the sweets...I don't think you should be throwing up every day, you might need to chew better or eat slower.....It doesn't last forever, I eat pretty normal now! Try cottage cheese, if you like put ranch on it, or sugar free jelly, or seasoning salt......bean and bacon soup, make it thick, don****er it down much from the can.....Split pea and ham soup, again eat it thick....Those all have protein in them and are pretty easy! It is not uncommon to have problems with meat.....I couldn't eat chicken until 9 months out! Try some cheese, string cheese, pepper jack, whatever kind you like. I can't do eggs (still) but eggbeaters work great....they stay so moist and don't make me Try them...them come in great flavors like southwestern and garden veggie, or get the plain one and add some shredded cheese.......Best of luck.....It is hard but gets easier! Let us know how it is going......Take Care Jesi
