Does it make a difference?

If you weigh in the morning or the evening? I weighed in on Friday morning and I weighed 2lbs down from Wednesday. I weighed in last night (after getting in 72 oz of water) and I was up 2 lbs from Friday. I normally weigh first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything. What do you think? I am freaking out! I have to get this weight off! Thank you, Michelle

I think the important thing is to be consistant. Compare apples to apples not apples to oranges. In other words, always weigh yourself in the morning or always at night. Otherwise it will drive you crazy. I know I weigh myself at all times & there can be a several pound difference. For instance, yesterday morning my weight was 203. Last night, after drinking lots of water & of course, eating normally, I weighed 209! This morning it was back to 203, and you better believe that I got really uncomfortable at about 5:00 this morning & had to pee. I think that's when I got rid of the pounds. I almost freaked last night when I saw the weight but knew it had to be water. Back when I was pregnant & had a very strict doctor, I wouldn't drink anything before going to him & getting weighed (my poor babies!) I wouldn't suggest that you do that before going to your surgeon if you are post-op. It wouldn't do to get dyhdrated just so it looks like you have lost more. However, if I had to lose a particular amount before he would do the surgery, I might be tempted. Dixie

I weigh every morning right after I potty and before anything hits my mouth......I don't care for jammies, so I usually just have on panties! It is true you always weigh more at night! (at least I do) Best of luck, and if you start to really get bothered my the scale, quit weighing! Take Care Jesi

I always weigh in the morning after I go to the bathroom. Your right the evening hours seem to weigh heavier for me too!

Michelle, Ditto to what everyone else said - I tend to weigh more at night. I don't weigh often, but have weighed in the evening at support group and then weighed in the morning at another doctor's appointment and have seen a difference. I'm with Jesi - if you become a slave to that scale - get rid of it!! Hang in there and keep working hard!! God bless, Andrea
