Speaking of support groups...

I had my surgery in Ames with Dr. Hardy. He was great but as far as I know theres no support group there.

Dixie, What a good thread,. Sorry that I didn't respond to it sooner. I also feel that support groups are pertinent in our journey. Genesis offers a support group meeting once a month. It is lead by the nurse manager and the psychologist. Last month, the nurse manager had her little sister talk about the positive affects of massage. It really was interesting. Then, we have informal time where we can talk and discuss issues with one another. Sometimes, there is a speaker such as a plastic surgeon or psychologist. All in all, the meetings are usually pretty wonderful. God bless, Andrea
