Need help finding a surgeon

The surgeon I had chosen is moving in October. I searched long and hard and he fit what I wanted for a surgeon. Now, it is back to the drawing board. I have gone through the majority of the pre-op, so what I really am looking for is a surgeon that does not require a lot of pre-op, does lap RNY, and has a good follow up program. Of course, someone who has done many surgeries. I am very sad the surgeon I chose is leaving. It was an hour drive, so he was very accessible. I live in Emmetsburg, which is about 80 miles west of Mason City.

Hi! How far is Grinell (I know where it is but I can't spell) from where you are? They have an awesome program. Also If you want to drive all the way to Omaha I could recommend Dr. Sudan. Good Luck... Melinda

Vicki, I would recommend DR Glas**** in Waterloo he is wonderful and if you do have problems he will try to correct them as easy as he can....I had some minor setback with my umbilical hernia that he fixed on the same day as my WLS. But he got me thru them and all is fine....went for my six month check this past WED and I am down 117 pounds since the start of my journey. He did both my surgeries LAP. I drove 120 miles one way to have him do my surgery and I would again over UIHC DR's. Jody W.
