APPROVED- after 7 days

I was approved. I got my letter today. OMG! I cannot believe it! The clinic said all I have to do is get that 30 lbs off and I will be scheduled within two weeks of that. OMG!!!!!!! I am aming for either October 25th or November 1st. I will need some help staying on track for the next month to get this weight off. She said when I am close to having it off call and make the appointment. Thank God! I am so happy!!!!! I called my Mom and I started to cry. I said I am going to be thin and have a baby. My Mom started to cry with me. She said that I am going to be so much happier and I am going to be so beautiful. Thank you, God! I just want to get this weight off and wait my 18 months and have my baby. Thank God! Plus do a million other things my weight has held me back from. Michelle

Congrats Congrats!!! You have some hard work ahead of you to get that last twenty pounds off.....Best of luck!!! What are you doing? I too had to lose weight before surgery and I ended up doing adtkins....it sucks but if you follow it, you do drop weight and quick!!! I am wishing you *GOOD LUCK* Who is your surgeon? I think I should do Low Carb as well. I want to do it as quickly as possible. My surgeon is Dr. Cahalan @ Mercy Capital. I am so EXCITED!!!!!!

Congrats Michelle You might want to take a look at the recipe board to find some good healthy foods to get the last 20 off. Just a suggestion. I have found some fantastic recipes from there. Go to forums (main entrance) then to recipes. Carolyn

Congrats, Michelle!!! What wonderful news. You can get that extra weight off, just work hard at it. It will give you a taste of the healthy lifestyle changes that you have to make after surgery, as well. If you can walk for some exercise, that will help to get your metabolism going and help to burn calories as well. I was on a low=carb diet prior to surgery, too and lost some weight - even with Thanksgiving in there! Congrats to you. Hopefully, by the time you are as far out as I am, I will be posting about having a baby. I am soooooooooooo itching to have another one. I can't wait for people to see me and KNOW that I am pregnant and not just fat!!! I am anxiously awaiting the year to 18 months that my surgeon suggested, but it's not easy!!!
