Denied

My reconstructive surgery was denied; I am rather bummed. I am having a pity party for myself then I am going to appeal and get this last physical step of my journey taken care of. I promise I am going to posting and being more active on the boards.... God Bless Paula

Honey I am so sorry.... Why did the insurance deny the request? Wording for plastic surgery is crucial. Perhaps it was the wording on the report. Also just from being in the OR a lot of panniculectomies have some sort of medical need behind them and it is not just for "looks". If you have rash, rubbing marks, or even a yeast infection in the folds this is a medical need. You should see your PCP if you have any of these and he can write it up. This helps in documentation for panniculectomies (tummy tucks). Don't give up... Hugs from Heaven Melinda
