Submitting Insurance

Well, I got a call yesterday that they are submitting my insurance today. The insurance lady and I kind of got into because she said that I do not have enough diet history and to get more information together, but she is submitting it anyway. I asked if that meant that I would be denied and she said no, they will just ask for more info. It does not make any since to me why they are submitting it when they know I will need more info and I still have to loose 30lbs first. We kind of had words. I was already emotional being up all night after my son had surgery and I was tired and I was ready to tear into someone anyway, but I still don't understand it. I had asked the doctor if I needed more diet history and he said he didn't think so. Just wanted to know if anyone experienced the same thing. Michelle

Michelle, Yep - My insurance was submitted and THEN I was notified that I needed to do a diet history. Just do one and have it ready when it is asked for. It will help to expedite the process. Insurance is so aggravating, but then again, I certainly couldn't have come up with the kind of money necessary for this surgery! Sure hope and pray that all is well with your son. God bless, Andrea
