Thanks, sad day

Thanks everyone for their kind replies. It's been a really hard day. I keep looking for her. But the strangest thing happened last night. I was watching TV in the family room and I swear I heard her. She always stretched and kinda scrapped her toenails on the carpet. I heard that noise and then a big sigh. It was like she was telling me she was okay and that I should be too. I know I heard it. My hubby just looked at me when I told him and said, Okay? He said he had a pretty rough day too. We both had a lot of extra time this morning. I didn't realize how much time I spent with her, either trying not to step on her, since she would never move, or petting her, or lately, checking to see if she was breathing. Tonight I looked at the floor before I put the recliner foot down. She had a habit of laying under it and then getting clobbered. I know that I will see her again. My pastor said the Bible talks about animals in heaven in Isaiah 11. I haven't read it yet but if he says it's there, then that's all I need. Again, thanks for all your support and prayers. I know she was "just" a dog and that some people don't understand. But when an animal gives you unconditional love for over 10 years, no matter what mood you are in or how irritated you are at something she's done, she is not "just" a dog. She was a huge part of our family. Casey, you will never be forgotten and will always be missed.

Your welcome Lyn, I would never say "just" a dog. They become a big part of our families and lives whether it be just for a short time, or a long wonderful life like Casey. I'm sure she knew how much she was loved, and not as "just" a dog. Also, I want to thank everyone too. It is so hard losing a loved one, even a pet. They are loved one's too.
