Hello I'm very depressed. Had that hysterectomy surgery on the 23rd, then got out the following Friday, then started school on the 30th. Can't drive for 1 more week. I can't handle not driving. Especially when you have to live with MOM and DAD and they are always after me. Yelling at me. All I want to do is cry. THen top of everything else, I am having complications with my hysterectomy surgery. Had infection, I have to go to the hospital in Marshalltown 1 time daily to change my dressing. Since the nurse's (commodity Nursing care, who comes out to your home) won't come because we live in the country, mom or dad has to drive me in. I feel like I'm in prison or a kid again, and I don't like it. Then top of everything else, I'm still bleeding (period), I thought everything would stop. But now it's going on 6 months of bleeding. Sorry, I'm venting, And I know this is not the correct board to post on, but anyway, I actually been able to drink water and keep it down, now. Isn't that weird. Always had problems drinking water. I lost 10 pounds within 2 weeks. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Well, wanted to keep you all posted, and I will get a new picture on. Take Care Love Lisa Young

Oh, LIsa, I feel so bad for you . My Mom had a incision infection after her cancer surgery & it had to be packed everyday for 4 months until it healed up. She was a very slow healer due to past cancer treatments. Have you asked to see if they can teach you how to do it? There really isn't much to doing it but it is a bit gross. Even your Mother could do it if she was willing to do so. That would save a trip into town. About the bleeding, I'm not a medical professional, but that doesn't sound right. You had a hysterectomy; your uterus is gone so where is the blood coming from? I had one almost a year ago & started spotting 2 weeks ago. I called my GYN & they had me in the office 3 hours later to find out what was going on. I suggest calling the GYN's ofice & insist on being seen. I know there was some small amount of bleeding right after my surgery but only for a few days. Take care & try not to let this get you down. Dixie

I am so sorry you are having such problems. I thought about you on Fri and wondered how you were. I will lift you up in prayers to our Father in Heaven and in no time you will be better. Check with your doctor if you feel weird about the bleeding still going on. Don't worry you won't be with your folks forever... things will get better. Also ask the doctor about driving? Don't get behind that wheel too soon. Good luck in school. Take care honey... Hugs from Heaven Melinda

Hi Lisa, I'm very concerned about your bleeding, there shouldn't be any bleeding vaginally. You better get into ER or contact your doc. I can empathize with your situation it was same with me after my gallbladder surgery! I stayed with my folks for a couple of weeks & my twins were 4 yrs. old... now I look back & think they treated the twins more like adults than me! It was hell staying there, but now that time has gone by & mom is gone I'm thankful for what they did for me. It may be a good idea to talk to your doc about your depression, Zoloft is non-addictive & would probably help you over your hump. Will keep you in my thoughts & prayers. Carolyn
