OT..Son didn't recognize me!

Hi all, This is just to funny My son works at a bank located in Hy-Vee & I needed to pick up a few groceries so stopped by to say hi to him. He looked up at me then turned away & another gal asked if she could help me. Told her I had stopped to see my son & Chad turns around blushing & laughing, Mom I didn't recognize you, I hadn't seen him in about a month didn't think I had changed that much. I've been since then! And all jokes aside it made me feel good! Also saw another gal I hadn't seen in several months & she called me skinny lady! I was walking on air yesterday & the happy I was feeling kind of down, still weigh the same as last week BUT have lost another 3 inches from waist, so that makes up for lack of weight loss. Long as I can see some kind of change in measurements I can deal with no weight loss! Anyone have any big plans for the weekend? Mine is babysit on Saturday as both son & daughter-in-law have to work THEN on Sunday going to start painting my living room. September is a busy month for us to much going on & not enough time! I think back a year ago I couldn't have been able to keep this pace without falling asleep on my feet, now I have energy & can keep a moderate pace. WLS has been a blessing Another OT, I'm going to order my medical bracelet with the following listed on it: My name & DOB No Blind NG tube penicllin & CT allergies Emergency number-my son's Date of surgery & possibly Dr. Shinnerl's phone # Does that sound like to much info or about right kind? Would like to hear from those who have bracelets. I also thought about a medic alert card that I could hang on my mirror with same info on it. Never can be to cautious. Everyone have a safe weekend! Hello Carolyn, that is awsome I love it when people dont know who you are that you havent seen in awhile. I get alot of that too. I been at 179 for a month now I get so down because I want to get to my goal but everyone tells me I dont need to lose anymore im perfect the way I am. I still walk every morning. this weekend I'm going Line danceing with some friends and Monday have a cookout with family. thats about it for this weekend take care and have a safe Holiday Laurie

That's so funny & great about your son. I would have done the happy dance right there & embarrassed him silly. I bought my bracelet from here at the store. It is only inscribed with "Bariatric Surgery Patient No NG tube" They have no other option & although I am allergic to Penicillin as you are, I figure no one is going to give me an antiobioti****il family members have been located. I bought the Stirling silver one and it is supposed to not scratch much but mine was covered already the first day. I still wear it though. Dixie
