I Give Up
ok all. I give up on even getting any insurance to help me with the surgery. Heard some news from a friend I met on here that had Walmart insurance and was told that after she got Vocational Rehab to pay for her surgery Walmart excluded a ton of stuff on her. Also heard that Walmart gave her hubby a very hard time at work and he ended up quitting because of the fuss she made with Walmart insurance.
Sooooo, I have started a diet. Just started on Monday. HOPE IT WORKS THIS TIME as I can't stand this weight any longer.
Wish me luck!!!
Diane,
I'm sorry the WLS route isn't possible at this time for you. I think the best diet out there is the Atkins. There are a lot of low carb foods out there now. Unfortunately they are spendy - but I think well worth it. Take care Hon - and just because you aren't having surgery don't think you can't talk to us on here. I want to hear about your dieting progress. We are here for you hon! Take Care and God Bless!

Diane,
What a bummer about the insurance. I thank and praise God that I not only had one insurance company cover my surgery, but also my husband's insurance covered also. I had limited copays. Thank you Lord!!!
Now, go into the diet with the best of intentions and know that it WILL work if you work hard at it. Along with this surgery comes a diet - the hardest one that I have ever been on! If I screw up, I don't just get bigger, I get sick and hurt and can even mess up my insides. The surgery has forced me to make healthy lifestyle changes that I should have made sooner in life. Not only do I eat healthy now, I also work my butt off to work out and exercise. Never did I think that I would love to sweat and work out, but I do now. I usually work out for 1-2 hours at least 5-6 days a week. It is hard, especially fitting it in with family and full time job, but I do it because I am committed to a healthy me.
Now, commit yourself to a healthy you and you WILL make this work.
Good luck in everything, Diane.
God bless,
Andrea
