Another Update
Hello
Just wanted to let everybody know, that I got my staples out this morning. Well, not doing too good. I now have a major infection and have to have nurses aides come in to change the bandage maybe 2 times a day.
I had called Monday, because I thought something was wrong, sure enough. The Dr. told me today, I should have gotten my butt to the ER. Well, I didn't have a temperature, but boy was my incision burning and stinky. Top of everything else, found out what my leg pain is all about, it's scar tissue from the surgery and it'll last for 4 to 6 months. Nothing I can do about it. I need to walk. It hurts more to walk than anything. Any advice, on what I should do?
I know this is the support for hysterectomies, but just thought I would put all updates on here too. I lost 5 pounds within 2 weeks too. Don't know how. but did.
School is getting really stressful. I'm having to take these high narcotic drugs, (I don't like, because I forget what I'm thinking about or talking about), he won't give me anything else. I tried. And I even tried going without them, but there's no way I can do that.
Well, sorry so long. Take it easy everybody.
Take Care

Hi Lisa,
Boy you sure know how to bring up old memories Not a laughing matter, these infections. Mine was done vaginally & a few days after surgery I got to feeling kind of lousy with a headache but blamed it on the fibromyalgia. Went to the doc & he didn't do anything but give me suppositories for pain! Went back the next day ended up with emergency surgery! The surgeon had nicked my bowel which created infection (pocket about size of softball) & had I not gotten in at that time I would have died. I strongly urge anyone with any kind of surgery if something doesn't feel right get to the doc or ER. I don't think a person can be to careful about these things! Hope you get to feeling better soon. School is stressful enough without having medical probs on top of it.
