Hi everyone! Goals this week are: water, water, water. I seem to be having the most problem with that one. Also, find more "me" time. I'm starting a "fit ball" class twice a week and 1st class is tomorrow. I think it will be fun! It's also that Yucky monthly thing and right now I just want to get through it -- never could figure out why God didn't give this "gift" to the guys!! Am wishing I had my ibuprofen! My very best friend in the whole world is my biggest inspiration right now. She's the one who drags me out to walk and keeps giving me encouragement. We've been friends since kindergarten -- she's one of the best. Keep up the good work everyone! Janie 272/187/140?

Janie, Water is a good goal! Be sure that you don't get dehydrated, especially if you are working out. That "fit ball" class sounds fun. I do abdominal workouts on an exercise ball and love it. I want to buy one for home, but have nowhere to store it. About that "gift" - I wish the men had it instead of us, also!!!! Why God, Why???? JUst kidding! How neat that you have been friends with your best friend since kindergarten. Wow - that is wonderful. My "bestest" friend from grade school is coming up to visit on September 18th. I can't wait. Now, what about that dog - thought that the dog got you out to walk????? May your week be blessed with happiness, Andrea

My goals this week are: 1)Walk around the block with dog every evening 2)Protein, Protein, Protein 3)Water, Water, Water Feeling very successful! Down 43lbs so far as of Friday! - in 2 weeks! Try to stay busy! My mother is my inspiration - she has always put us kids first! Especially me - going through my first major battle with depression at age of 14 - having to be hospitalized for it and having to deal with that my whole life. She has always supported me even if my decsions weren't the best. She was always there to pick up the pieces. She is a 8 year breast cancer survivor! Her life anthem is "Take One Day At A Time". Thanks mom! Carol

My goal is just to survive the week. I've been so pooped out lately. Had thyroid and pre-albumin done a couple weeks ago. Thyroid okay, pre-albumin low normal. So I increased my protein. Still feel crappy. Called surgeon today for call back tomorrow. A couple people said I look pale. Wonder if my iron is low. yesterday at work. Gotta stop taking leftovers from the night before. My pouch is very discreminating. No leftovers for it. Yuk. Because I feel crappy, I have no energy to exercise. I am making it to Curves but that's it. Getting plenty of protein, 80-90 gms per day, and lots of fluids, usually over 80. Taking B12 everyday along with a multi. Anyone have any ideas? Also dizzy at times. My grandma had the greatest impact on my life. She was a great woman who loved me unconditionally and thought I could do no wrong. She taught me how to bake (not such a good hobby now), how to garden and gave me the love I have for flowers. I still miss her deeply and it's been over 20 yrs. WHEN WILL I HAVE SOME ENERGY????????????? Lyn 262/197/142 -65

Lyn, I'm so sorry that you are feeling bad. Have you had all of your bloodwork done? Be sure to get a full battery of tests done - someone once told me to ask for A to Z, but I don't know what that means. Do you take an iron pill? I would continue to bug your surgeon's office if you continue to feel this way. I'm sure that you need some answers. About the dizziness, I can't say on that one, either, because I still have dizzy spells. My doctor said maybe it was dehydration from all of the exercise that I am doing. On a normal day now, I am getting over 100 oz of fluids. (I "tinkle" a lot, too ) Those left-overs can often be dry compared to cooked fresh foods. Have you tried adding a sauce or a bit of water to it? For me, if something gets tough, it doesn't go down or sit well and then I hurt. Grandma's are supposed to know how to bake well, aren't they? I think that good farm cookin is one of the aspects that contributed to my eating habits - come on - you know - the meat and potatoes and rich desserts... (Sorry, I'm drooling now!!) You must have been very close to your grandmother to still miss her. What a neat woman she must have been. Let us know what you find out. May God bless you with answers and energy this day, Andrea
