HELP CAN'T STOP EATING
This two weeks I have been constantly hungry and eating. It seems like a lot of food to me, I was able to even eat a whole meal, 1 pc of chicken, peas, and a small potatoe. Does anyone know can you out eat your pouch and not have any pain? I just don't get that full feeling anymore and it scares me!!!
Leslea,
How far out are you? I am almost 9 months out and still get a full feeling quickly. I tried some chicken the other night and was able to get only about 2 oz down with about 1/2 cup of salad. That is not even 1/3 of a chicken breast. I can eat 2 cheese sticks and about 12 mini f/f pretzals and be full. Others that I talk to can eat a whole McDonalds salad with the chicken breast. I don't know what to tell you other than to talk to your surgeon if you continue to be concerned.
God bless,
Andrea
I am 7 months postop, I just can't explain it, but it has happed to me before, not lasted this long, where I will go a whole week just being hungry. This is an example of what my intake lately has been
BRKfST - 1 banana with 1tblsp of Pbutter.
snack - cheese/crackers
Lunch - salad with shrimp
snack -2 pcs cheese& 5 crackers
Dinner - salad with loose meat hamburger or shrimp
then I want to graze at night as that's when I work, chips or fudgscicle.
I was able to eat that one piece of chicken but when I tried it again SICK! So I am sticking with tuna, shrimp and salad. Once in a while I do get in a brkfst shake. I still do not eat bread though just afaid once I start I won't stop.
We all are SSSOOOOOOO different! I too feel like I can eat a lot more than most.....I have eaten dinner a few times with Andrea and I ALWAYS eat more than her......some days are worse than others.....(LIKE TODAY) If I am not grazing I feel okay, I do measure my meals and I know I am eating the amounts I should be, but when I graze......I seem uncontrollable, it scares me!!! My only suggestion: don't graze....unfortunately I haven't figured out how to stop yet tho......I will work on it everyday for the rest of my life I am sure.......Best of luck to you on this journey, know you are not alone!!! Jesi
Leslea,
Like Jesi said, we are all different. I know that when I have PMS, I graze nonstop and I think that I need to for some reason. I just NEVER get near a scale during that week - or the next, to be exact. Could it be that time for you, too? If so, just make sure that your snacks consist mostly of protein and you will survive. Hang in there, hon. We all have trying days and you will make it through this!
God bless,
Andrea
