I can see

I had the LASIK procedure done on Monday,and it is amazing how well I can see already. I was seeing 20/20 or better in my right eye less than 24 hours after the surgery. Left eye not so good, but getting better everyday. Except for having to wear the wonderful goggles to bed so I don't scratch and rub, I am loving every minute thus far. On a less fun note, and the rest of you teachers out there will appreciate this - WORK SUCKS - ok maybe its not all that bad, but summers sure are a lot more fun. I think I am going to go have a few tonight to try and forget how long these first three days have been. I know, I know - if I had a real job I wouldn't get three whole months off during the summer - blah blah blah I will quit now before I get crucified. Have a great weekend Brad Thiel

Brad, You have two beers... one for you and one for all the other wonderful teachers. My son is a first grader this year. You are paid too little of an amount of cash to put up with the crappy kids, the crappy admin, and the crappy parents. Hi Brad! Been thinking about you! Isn't it amazing colors are really colors? I think that is what got to me is how sharp & clear everything was. Brad, Congrats on being able to see "straight"! I would love to have that surgery and not have to worry about contacts or glasses. I wonder if my insurance covers that. I'll have to look into it. On your other note - I'M CRYING RIGHT ALONG WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you just go back on the 25th? I did too and it sure does stink! I became a teacher for several reasons - first and foremost - to teach children in a loving atmosphere - but also for the summers. I live by the pool, or the camper, of the fishing boat all summer! Just love the tan and the ability to get up and do my walking in the morning. Now, had to join the gym because there is no way that I could walk in the morning before school then get myself and my kids ready to be out the door on time. It's going to be so much more of an effort to work out at night after school, too. I just finished cooking for 5 hours. Had to make 5 meals that I put in the freezer for this week so we can work out then come home and have a meal already done. Man, do I long for summer - and I've only worked three days. If you're not loopy already, have a for me, too, will ya? Now, who said that teaching is not a REAL job?!?!?!?! Let's lynch 'em! (JOKING, of course!) Brad, Ok you can see now. so could you post a pic so we all can see you also, LOL just kidding around.. you are crying that you are back to work at school....well i am crying cuz the kids are back in school and i get a well deserve break,,lol sorry couldnt resist that one... i feel bad for you teachers who have students that are naughty in class really i do feel bad cuz my son is one of those students...but he does have a great big heart..and willing to help out.....my daughter started last week and TODAY my son finally started....have a great week.......lynda
