Hello All
Hi,
Just an update from the Wacker household.
1. Lester talked to his surgeon on Wednesday on how to stay at goal and not go any lower. Dr. Keating suggested reversing the surgery which got a resounding NO! He also suggested that Lester start eating a few more calories till the weight loss stops and then stay at that level or start using protein drinks to up his calories some. Lester hasn't decided what he is going to do yet. Everything else is going good. Dr. is very pleased with his success.
2. Yes, we did reknew our wedding vows this last Saturday. Had a wonderful day. (We have been together for over 21 years and married 15 as of last February.) The only thing that would have made it better would have been if our oldest son had been here - he is a US Marine stationed in SC at this time but could be deployed to Iraq. Everybody had a good time and the Pastor did a wonderful ceremony - it was his first reknewal!!
I did manage to get all the dresses done by last Wednesday nite. Everything went smoothly. Our first wedding was very very small, like 10 people! And we just wore street clothes even though it was a church ceremony.
3. I continue to loss weight and hair. I am at -90 with the weight loss. My hair is coming out really good - sucks!!! I am somewhat vain about my hair and it had been getting thinner before the surgery but this is totally ridiculas!
4. Enough already!!
Blessings to everyone,
Carol and Lester

Carol and Lester,
Congrats on the renewal!!!!!!! the hair loss does stop really it does.... i would lose handfulls i was so afraid to comb and wash my thinking i would be bald. i had thin hair anyways then about 4 months out i starting losing it majorly i had bald spots cuz of it. they gave me so many reasons on why i was losing it. i did start using Noixin products. it is expensive but worth it. I am now 8 months out and i am finally getting my hair back. when i was losing my hair i decided to get it cut to kinda hide the bald spots. they took off 10 inches and i donated that to locks of love. have a great weekend and keep up the awesome job on the weight loss.. Lynda
Carol,
Thanks for the public update. I'm sure that everyone enjoys reading about your successes. So, what did Lester decide to do? Is he going to try the protein drinks? Let me know if you need some ideas of what kinds are good. Heck, I would just love to add a few calories - all from breads and carbs and such. MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Congratulations to the both of you on your renewal of your vows. You two must be so totally committed to one another to go through this surgery together and changes lifestyles together AND to be together that long! I am inspired by your committment! Would love to see pics if you have the ability to post them.
By the way, about the hair - sorry - I am no help there. I am still losing mine and also got a bunch cut off to make it look fuller. I don't like it as much as I liked my long hair. Let me know if you ever find the secret!
God bless,
Andrea
