A little fun and a little dreaming for some...
Hey Melinda
let me see in 3 months it will be 3 years sooo here goes.
Well some of my goals are achieved and even surpassed. My goals are ever developing when I hit one another one or more take their place.
I am here, alive and healthy without medication for the most part.
I would have been happy at a size 10... I wear anything from a 4 to an 8 (usually a 6) depending on the make. Hope now for a sz 4 or better after the tummy and scar revision surgery. (NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS DID I THINK I'D BE THAT SMALL)
I buy Victoria Secret undies... sexy but expensive. As long it says SMALL I am a very happy camper. noteworthy when it happened b/c I pretty much announced to the entire store...I was LOUD AND PROUD.
Went from invisible to having guys check me out... (not entirely comfortable about this, not as cool as I thought it would be) same with dealing with people who treat you differently because of your looks. CONFLICTED EMOTIONS... bottom line people concerned with surface judgements whether I am heavy or not are not worth my time and trouble.
Now I want to make my inside and outside the best that they can be.
Paula
You be loud and proud my girlfriend......
Remeber that tummy/scar revision is your reward for your hard work. Let those guys check you out. It is sad that people look to the outside before looking in. But I have never seen you and that little picture in the corner doesn't tell me much - so I am getting to know the real you and I think your beautiful!!! I am blessed that you came into my life.
Have a good week...
Melinda
P.S. If you wanted to come to Creighton in Omaha to have your tummy done I would be more than happy to assist.
I'm one month post op and down almost 30 lbs.
(that will slow down I know...and...I've been at almost 30 lbs for a couple weeks now....can you say "Plateau?"
My first goal was having my energy back to do more than lay on the couch when I got home from work. I have that back...and then some.
Next will be to go through my old clothes (as in...they won't fit anymore) I think I still have some size 20 stuff in my closet... I just got in a size 20 skirt I haven't worn in ages and ages...so getting close to that one!
I haven't been under 200 for almost 16 years...that's my next goal.
Next...yes...Victoria's Secret here I come!!!!
Someday...I'd like to run the Dam to Dam in Des Moines. I don't run yet. Never have run...
I would like to weigh what I did in High School by next spring. Don't know if I can pull it off...but we will see.
Lastly...looking good on the back of my sweetie's motorcycle and KNOWING I look good.

I'm almost 1 year post op and down 110 pounds...
I have reached all my goals so far so reading everyone's has really gotten me thinking...
The goals I had that have been reached:
Get off all drugs and the CPAP machine
To get ankles again
To fit into the size 18 shirt that seemed so small when I was a size 30/32
To fit into a booth without a second thought
To fit into an airplane seat without the extender
I need new goals... I need more things to get keep me motivated.
Thanks for the smiles and I will find more goals to keep me going!!
Jen
