Needing some information

I have my first meeting next Monday at St. Lukes in Cedar Rapids with thier Nutrition center as a referal from Dr. Keating. Has anyone have any experiences with both? Looking for the good and bad. Thanks everyone!

Kyle, I'm sorry that I don't have any experience with the center, however, if you want to travel a little south, I can tell you about the Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery in Davenport. Kyle, I had my procedure at Mercy. I did have Dr. Keating though. He is very straight forward in his care. The more you know and the more questions you have and the understanding that it is a lifetime committment on your part I believe Dr. Keating appreciates. I don't know if you have seen him yet or not but the most surprising thing for me was how young he looks. I don't know to much about St. Lukes WLS follow up other than they have a support group meeting the 1st Tuesday of every month. Mercy also has a support group meeting the 2nd Thursday of every month. Very friendly group there I go every month. Good luck and feel free to come to one of the meetings before surgery if you like, we'd be happy to answer any questions you have.

Kyle- I just sent you and e-mail and when I read down the message board I found your post. I am actually working with a Dr in Cedar Falls, so far I have been very impressed with the services I have received there. Except for the drive, it has been great. If you want more info, let me know. Chris
