Newbie looking for local advice! :-)

Chris, I am from the Iowa City Area also.....but I chose to have my surgery in Cedar Falls with Dr Glas**** his number is 319-268-3990. University usually has a long wait time before surgery and they have like a 9 month supervised weight loss thing that they do first....Dr Glas**** can usually get you in much sooner....this is just my opinion that he is a caring person that is here to help people and I always just felt like a number at UIHC. But that is just me so maybe you would feel different. Good luck on your journey, it is awesome. 3-30-04 was my surgery and I am down 106 pounds. Jody W.

Chris, Welcome back to the great state of Iowa and to a very supportive message board. So sorry that I did not welcome you earlier - haven't been online too much lately. It appears that you have had a lot of replies and ideas. I had surgery through the Genesis Center for Bariatric Surgery in Davenport, Iowa.
