Update!

Well, I got approval from the psychologist (Dr. Martin of Boone) last week and now am waiting for Blue Cross to give the green light. I hope to hear back, maybe by the end of this week! What a long drawn-out process! They don't think I will have any trouble getting BCBS to approve it now, however. Dr. Sundberg's office told me tentatively to prepare for my surgery in late September, or early October, so I can have time between insurance approval and all my pre-op exams. I'm pluggin' along.....hope to be at the end of this process soon! Steven Ray Boone, IA

Hang in there it will get here sooner than you think. I have BCBS and it took only 2 days to get my approval I actually got the letter before the dr office called me. Good luck with everything and just take it one day at a time!!! My sister lives in Boone nice little town.

Good luck to you!!....and just so you dont get your hopes up for this 2 day approval that everyone is talking about...BCBS is taking about 2 weeks to make gastric bypass decisions right now. Never know, they might get caught up soon. ( i work there..shhh. tee hee)
