Just a little bragging

Our town had Augustfest yesterday (crazy days). There were alot of people I haven't seen since I had surgery so it was quite an experience! I was asked to sell raffle tickets for an ATV to help raise money for a town walking trail. people were stopping by "checking me out" & telling me how great I looked! Was even asked for a date...WRONG!!!! Turned him down cuz I'm a b*****, hey after all just cuz we look different on the outside doesn't mean I'm not the same person! I had a great time, Katie (daughter) was in the talent contest, she played her flute to America the Beautiful, you could have heard a pin drop. She had some pretty tough competition & didn't win the contest, BUT at least she tried, more than I would have done at her age. She is also quite over weight, but a few weeks ago we found out she has thyroid probs & is on meds for it & hopefully that will help her. My granddaughter, Courtney, stole the show & won the Smile Contest to both girls for a job well done. It was a great day for all of us. Just had to do some bragging Carolyn
