self pay in Iowa

I'm from northern Mo. and looks like self pay as Insurance is not budging. Was wondering if anyone knows cost of self pay in Iowa, what doc's, hospital . I'm do not want open surgery If possible.. Thanks in advance for al you help Bob

I had open with gallbladder removal and it was all total about $26,000. My sugeon is in Boone, IA about 45 mins north of Des Moines. He has had the surgery himself. He tries to do most laprasopically, but I had adhesions so it had to be open. The hospital is Boone Co. Hospital, small but very good. They do have a web site. Just do a search for Boone.

Hi Bob, If you email me some particulars I can get you in touch with resources and doctors. (I do volunteer for obesity help newcomer assistance) Also have you looked into hiring a lawyer... (most will work with you to get your insurance company to pay... they take most their fees from the insurance if/when you win) Paula
