Need to find another Plastic Surgeon

I have not posted in a while but am doing great. I am now down to 175lbs which is a total loss of 162 lbs. I am posting because I am so disappointed about Dr. Aly leaving the University of Iowa Hospital......he is setting up a private practice and will not take insurance up front but will only take cash payment and leave it up to you to collect from your insurance. There is no way I can come up with the total cash needed so I am now searching for a new Plastic Surgeon who will work with me using insurance......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So sorry for your trouble... I don't know how far away Des Moines is from you, but Dr. Timothy Schurman is a great plastic surgeon. He took very good care of my sister-in-law, and is about to take care of me too. I'm going to see him on the 1st of Sept. Good luck~

Marilyn, Hi, sorry that I don't know of any plastic surgeons in general, but someday hope to get to know one a little more intimately . My TT was done by Dr. Yen he is great, he works with Schureman abd Reece also, I have heard great things about them both...they are all in Des Moines. Dr. Reece discharged me he was very nice. Dr Yen also did surgery on my daughter when she was about 6 months old, he did a great job. Heather

I had my arms done with Dr. VanderZee is Cedar Rapids and he did a great job. I am going to see Dr. Cram (Dr. Aly's old partner) who now has a private practice in Coralville regarding a body lift next week. MelissaW -175 4/6/01 arms-4/16/03 body lift-this fall

Don't know what insurance you have but Davenport has Dr. Eckhardt, he did my friend Julie's TT and it's amazing. He doesn't take my insurance (Cigna PPO) so I am using Dr. Bayne in Moline who did another friend's TT, lipo, and arms (very good results). I have heard good things also about the Dr. mentnioned in Cedar Rapids, he did my sister-in-law's breast aug.... (she looks FABULOUS!!!!!) just what I have researched all ready. Hi Marylin: Dr. Aric Eckhart in Moline is terrific. I know several people who have used him. I plan on using him when I get to that point. I am only 7 months out. He is quiet a perfectionist and he is a very gentle person. I know him pesonally and I would certainly trust him with my own surgery. Eileen
