Okay, yes...it appears that I have gained like a pound and a few oz. Not only am I not weighing on my Doctor's scale...and I'm not certain what my weight is there right now... But I have to keep my shoes on to weigh here... However...the difference between the other day and today was a gain of a pound and a few oz. So help my little pea brain out here please!!!! I had just eaten...but I certainly didn't eat a pound of food. AHHHHHHH panic Kelly B.

Stay off the scale!!! Only weigh yourself once every week or two. It will cause you to obsess over nothing. It is probably water weight. I would and still fluctuate 1-2 lbs everyday. Yesterday I was 131 today I was 132. And I didn't overeat at all. Around the time my period comes I have gained up to 5 lbs. You are going to lose...

You will drive yourself crazy if you weigh everyday! Most of us gain and lose several pounds a day, depending on a few dozen different things. I know it's hard, but try not to weigh more than once a week- it will help you keep your sanity! The heaviest pair of shoes I ever owned (and I'm talking 70's platforms!) were just over a pound for the pair! It will be OK. If you think you are not eating right, or too much, write down everyhting you eat. I HATE doing this, but it's so easy to have just a little of this or that, and it really adds up. Jeri H.

Kelly, I know that it is easy to fret and hard to do, but PITCH THAT SCALES!!! My opinion is do NOT weigh yourself every day. Some people do and I may have to someday when I am maintaining, but I get too frustrated when I weigh and haven't seen a substantial loss, or even a gain. I can't stand it and then get even more down on myself. Could it be that you are close to or having that "monthly friend"? I won't go near a scales then because I have before and the results are dire to my self-esteem. If you are doing EVERYTHING that you know you are supposed to be doing and can wait to weigh at your doctor's office (with your shoes off, if that's how you have been weighing,) then don't worry. Think about it, liquid weighs a lot. Write it off as water weight and move on, dear. I'm sure that you are doing fine and will continue to do so. Hang in there! God bless, Andrea

Hi Kelly: I'm a fanatic about weighing, I weigh first thing in the morning and at night when I go to bed. My weight fluctuates around 3 pounds just between morning and evening. It helps to keep me on track but it drives some people nuts. If it drives you nuts put the scale away. If not, just remember that salt intake, muscle weigh****er retention and many other things will cause large fluctuations in your weight. Remember it's for life, we're all in it for the long haul. Good luck, Eileen
