Pantyhose and gas...
hello all...
I had my 6 weeks check up today. As I stated on mon I am down 41 lbs. Plus the 2 ounces I lost since mond. (I don't think I will make my 4lb goal this week) I have been eating crappy the past couple of weeks. But all is well and I was told to drink more, exercise more, and that there is not a good prescription for intestional gas. Use Beno, GasX, and Deveron. Also I learned that the sweetners that make things sugar free cause gas. I am going to try some new things like eating plain yogurt and adding fresh fruit. Plus a friend said that carbs are what is causing the gas.
Pantyhose... I wore a pair of pantyhose to the funeral home tonight. I didn't have to wear bike shorts, put deodorent on my thighs, or any of the other things I would put on my legs in order to wear pantyhose. I did not have those horrible hose burns and my legs didn't scream "no me first" while I walked because they rubbed together so bad. The skirt I wore is way too big and I had to pin it up and it still didn't stay up. The sweater I had on was too big. I looked like the poster child for Goodwill. It still gave me a nice feeling though.
Well I better get to bed I am about to fall asleep on the computer.
Hugs to you all......
Melinda
Melinda,
Great job on the loss. We all eat in ways that we feel are bad sometimes, but remind yourself that it is nothing compared to how you used to eat. Then move on and do better.
Sorry to hear that there is nothing more for the gas problems. I'm sorry that we did not tell you that sweeteners can give you gas. Anything like lactitol, sorbitol, malitol, etc. are sugar alcohols and can give you bad gas and sometimes diarhea. I have to watch them because I sometimes dump on them also. If I even eat too many s/f hard candies, I explode with gas - and it hurts! (I have never heard that carbs cause gas, but I try to limit my starchy food intake.)
Too cool on the pantyhose achievement!!! What a great thing to be able to notice changes. I bet that everyone else noticed your achievements, as well!
BTW, I didn't see your post last night because I DID fall asleep at the computer - sitting up in a chair. Silly me!!!
God bless,
Andrea
Hey Melinda
Congratulations;
it's an amazing accomplishment when you can actually wear pantyhose in peace... although I still hate 'em... now the are always resting right below my boobs to fit in the legs... (I know sounds like a personal problem)
The day my thighs no longer rubbed to together.... MEMORABLE!!! I used to wear out my jeans in the inner thigh region... I would NEVER want to walk or go to far because of the friction... NOW I CAN WALK FOR DAYS.
I relate soooo much to you posts you are MY HERO!!!
God Bless Sweetie,
Paula
