Outcome of Surgeon's visit...

Well, I lost another 5 pounds- not the 8-10 that he asked for, but we'll both settle for 5. I have 2 (at least) large hernia's that need to be repaired. They took some lovely photo's of my fat- from all angles! Good thing you couldn't see my face- it was pretty red! The office will send in for pre-authorization for the hernia repair and panni- should hear in 6-8 weeks. Then, hopefully, have surgery over Christmas break. Maybe I can get another 20 pounds off before then. He said to count on about 10-15 pounds of fat and skin coming off. (My luck- couldn't it be 20 or 30?) Looks like I'll settle in at a comfortable 225ish- not bad for an old lady of 52! Thanks for all your support- especially Andrea, who is our best cheerleader! Jeri H.

Congrats on your weight loss. Sorry to hear about 2 hernias...ouch. Say you don't look like an "old lady" of 52 guessed you alot younger! I'll be 50 in Oct... think I look much older! Good Luck to you! Keep us posted. Carolyn

Wow, Jeri, you are doing wonderfully! And no way did I ever think that you are 52!?!?!?!?! I thought you were younger than me! You look so young! I bet that you feel it more so now than ever with all the working out that you do. Did the doctor do a body analysis to see the percentage of lean body mass vs. fat? I bet that the lean body mass has increased and the amount of fat has decreased tremendously! Yeah - naked pics of my saggy belly would scare anyone away!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the compliment, but I think there are a lot of cheerleaders on this board. That's why I love it so much. I figure if we all try to support at least one other person each time that we sign on, we will be the most positive boards on OH! Well, let us know when the big date will be!! God bless, Andrea
