I'm pretty quiet on the site, but I'm needing some advice, I am about 150 lbs. overweight, and am becoming unable to do my job. I have been searching for other jobs, but am unable to find one. It was suggested that I should try to apply for disability, but I have no idea how to go about this. Anyone who would have any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. All of your stories are truly inspiring. -Miranda

Miranda, Sorry, I don't have a clue about disability, but have also been over 150 pounds overweight. The highest recorded weight was 348 7 years ago and I know that I was more than that. Anyway, others should be able to help you. Good luck, God bless, Andrea

Miranda, Go to your county health department and social security office. There are certain criteria that you will have to meet in order to quality. Call before you go to see if you need an appointment. You will need to get a signed document from your doctor that says you are disabled. You can also call the medicaid office and see what paperwork you need to fill out if you are planning on having weight loss surgery. Good Luck Melinda
