Good news, bad news. Good news is that I was offered a new job -- and accepted the job this morning. Good news is that this afternoon, I got approved for my surgery. Bad news, I'm really in a quandry. I want to have my surgery tomorrow! BUT, I can't do that, starting a new job tomorrow night. They really need someone to start immediately. I can't put that part off. So, I'm seriously thinking about an October date. That would give me some time on the job. And, things will slow down by October, and my absence won't be as much of a hardship on my new employer. But, I got approved, for that I'm excited! I can't believe that the timing is so bad. Is there one good aspect about waiting till the fall? Thanks! KW

Hey KW Congratulations I would say that as long as your new employer is comfortable with a fall surgery date... go for it. that way you can see if you can lose a couple pounds on your own... and do what a couple other people have done, grieve your favorite foods by having them a couple last times. Have a great day God Bless TTFN Paula

It's nice to have a good quandry though, isn't it? I mean it could be that you were in the situation of losing a job and not having any insurance?? I'm very excited for you and hope that all works out well. Sometimes it's good to remember even though it's hard to wait, that our 'higher power' has perfect timing! I had my surgery last fall and I found it was pretty good really, the weather was nice and I was able to get out and get moving pretty easily. It wasn't so terribly humid and such. Take care and best wishes to you on your continued success! Keep us posted! -Deb W.

K, Welcome to a wonderful place. I'm so glad to hear that you got approved. Your new employer should understand, especially with the notice that you will be able to give. Do you already have your date set in October? I think that the good thing about October is that it is before Thanksgiving and CHRISTmas. Having surgery right around the holidays like I did is HARD!!! Besides, if you have it soon enough, you will be able to bypass all that junk that gets passed out at halloween. Welcome again and God bless, Andrea
