Hello everyone ... 13 days post op. Yesterday at the Dr. I weighed 12.5 pounds less than before surgery. It's working already. Is it natural to feel so surprised? Good luck to everyone! I hope to follow your great examples. Mary Kathryn

Mary Kathryn, Congrats and welcome to the losing side!! This surgery does work, and we work hard to use our tools successfully! Just wait - the more you lose, the more surprised you will feel. Hope that the healing process is going well for you. Welcome to an awesome place. The people on this board are so supportive, kind and caring. Be sure to post often so we can get to know you better. God bless, Andrea

Mary Kathryn, I think each of us has in the back of our minds a thought that goes something like - why should surgery be any different from anything else we've done before? Of course, we'll be the one person in the history of our surgeon or our group that this surgery WON'T WORK ON!! You're doing marvelously! Keep up the good work and keep us posted! Take care now! -Deb W.

Mary Kathryn, I am still amazed everytime I step on a scale that it has gone down intead of up like every other time that I tried to lose weight. Had Lap RYN 3-30-04 and am now as of last Thursday down 96 pounds. Jody W.
