Tomorrow I join the losers!

Thanks for everyone's e-mails and kind words. I'll fill you in on how I am doing as soon as I am up to it. I've been on a liquid diet today and it hasn't been too bad, until my family came over for a big dinner. I ate my chicken broth begrudgingly as I watched everyone else dig in, and it hit me that this is how it's going to be from now on. But it's going to be so worth it I'm sure!!!

Hi Kendra, we are almost "twins" - I join the losers on Thursday! (I cannot believe it is finally here.) Good luck in your surgery and post-op. You'll do great.

Good luck, Kendra! Most of us have waited to do this until later in life, and I can't help but think of the "lost" years of being unable to fully participate in life. Kendra, I'm sorry that you won't see this before you head into surgery. I didn't get a chance to look at the message board yesterday. Thinking of you today and praying for your procedure to be safe and without complication, that you will fly through this with minimal discomfort, and be up and recovering in no time.
