7/26 Roll Call and goals
Hello all,
How are you this wonderful July day? It is cool in this part of Iowa, how about where you live?
Well, I think that I did okay on the goals last week, but still need to use the log to log every bite of food that goes into my mouth! Also, to monitor fluids and be sure that I am taking all supplements and protein drinks.
Also, for those of you that don't know, I have been having tummy problems. It hurts often when I eat. It's a real pain then it subsides and a nausea will set in. Poor Jesi has been hearing from me for a week now in pain. Well, called the surgeon and have an upper GI scheduled for tomorrow morning then see the surgeon immediately after that. He will have direct access to the results and images on the computer.
Also, planning on going out of town Wednesday and Thursday to Great America with the older two kids and hubby. Going to ride some rides!
So, goals are:
1) Keep food log and schedule eating times and stick to it!
2) Get all supplements in, including a protein drink every day.
3) Walk 4 times and do strengthening exercises at least 2 times.
4) Drink at least 80 oz of water a day.
5) Find out what is going on with my tummy and be well before going out of town.
6) Ride as many rides as I can without and enjoy time with my family.
That's enough for me. What are your goals for the week now? If you don't want to set goals, please just stop in to say "hi". Hope to hear from a lot of you this week.
God bless,
Andrea
Hey Andrea,
I am so sorry to hear of tummy issues. I had about a dozen bouts of this my first year with lots of endoscopies. They are not so bad, in my case they stretched my pouch so I could comfortably digest a little better. I know how frustrating this is though and you are in my prayers.
Anyway; hope Great America is well..... GREAT.
Goals this week are
1 spiritual progress through meditation and prayer
2 exercise
3 continue the bedroom from hell organization (thanks to RoseAnn for being a GREAT friend), believe it or not progress is being made
4 water
5 have the Clinton meeting organized and go well
6 Mountain Dew... (down to one a day... a big one but at least it's progress)
7 courage to do the right thing even when it's easier not to
God Bless, TTFN

I don't mind the calls......I am worried about you......hope you don't mind me bugging you now.....lol!!! I hope you start feeling better really soon and get some answers tomorrow!!
For goals: I really want to exercise at least 3 times!!!
I also want to continue eating good.....I am sticking to mainly protein and eating much better!!! I am ridding myself of the CARBMONSTER!!!!
I wish everyone luck this week one their goals......Take Care Jesi
I want to try and get all my protein and fluids in. Fluids seem to be an issue for me. Once I get busy and forget it's too hard to catch up on them. I was bad and skipped Curves last week, but I'M BACK this week 3 x and will do water aerobics too. I'm also going to try and walk or ride the exercise bike a couple times too. I'm at 200.5 this am and want so bad to get into the "1's". Can't remember the last time I was there, but it's been about 23 yrs or so ago.
Good luck with your tummy! and hope everyone's week goes great!!
Janie
Janie,
Hi, certainly wish that we could have had more time to talk when you were here for the Carnie event. Anyway, I bet that your dog is still pouting because you joined Curves Be sure to post when you get into the 1's so we can celebrate with you!! I don't think that will ever happen for me, but I hope so.
Thanks for the well wishes.
God bless,
Andrea
Hi everyone...this is my first time posting goals!
1) get my 64 oz of water in. It's easier with the squirt bottle top.
2) do some exercise walking in front of the house.
That's about all I can do right now.
Andrea...I loved Great America when I went in...91'? Wow that's a long time ago. But it was fun then, I'm sure they've added a lot more! Have some fun for us too!!!

Kelly,
Be sure to get lots of rest since you are just out a little bit from surgery. Also, are you getting your protein in? Water, water, water - what a great goal!
About Great America, we do that or Adventureland pretty much every year. Last year, my 7 year old rode her first big roller coaster with daddy because mommy couldn't fit. That was one of the deciding factors for surgery for me. This year - watch out rides, cuz here I come!!!
Take care of yourself and God bless,
Andrea
