How was Carnie?
Kendra, Carnie's program was heartfelt and wonderful. She looked terrific.
Was so nice to meet several of the posters on the Iowa board also. Andrea added up the losses of those in attendance at the Machine Shed and I believe it was well over 1000 lbs. What does 1000 lbs. of fat look like? UGH!!!

Too funny!!! That's a lot of fat!!!
The program was good - Carnie talked to us as if we were friends. She rejoiced with each person's triumphs and during the autograph session, tried to give everyone a minute of her time. It was too awesome!!!
What was awesome as well, was meeting so many folks from here. You all are a wonderful bunch! Wish there could have been more of us getting together, as well.
God bless,
Andrea
Speaking for the gals that came from the Waterloo area, we had a very good time. It was fun to meet Andrea, & Jessie and the others. Sorry we weren't able to meet you all for supper but we had to get back home.
I enjoyed seeing Deb P for the first time since her surgery last year & even though I have seen photos, I was still blown away by how beautiful she is. Don't misunderstand. She was a beautiful woman before but not like she is now. I also was thrilled to see my cousin Barb, (Deb's MIL), and to learn that she has started her journey toward the surgery also. She was so supportive to me when I had my surgery, encourgaing me all along the way. I hope I can do half as much for her. She will be having her surgery at Genisis.
Oh, ya, and Carnie was great too!

Me too!
Just moved to Birmingham, IA 2 weeks ago. I wished I could have gone to Davenport to the event.
I just met a lady here and confided in her that I had the WLS, the first thing out of her mouth was, Oh well that Carnie Wilson is gaining all her weight back, so you better watch it. I could have screamed....
Did Carnie talk about this at all? I have only read her books and I just have heard that she is struggling. Is this true?
Now I am sad, mad and worried.
Thanks,
Lori
Lori,
Oh, I wouldn't say that Carnie is putting all of her weight back on. She did say that over the course of maintaining, she has put on 10 pounds. Let's see, 10 pounds in five years - in my book, that's not bad. She didn't sound real worried about it, but sounded like she continues to work on doing those things that we know we need to do - water, water, water, exercise, exercise, exercise, protein, protein, protein...... Shall I say more?
Really, she looked good.
God bless,
Andrea
P.S. Welcome - glad that you finally made the move to Iowa.
Hey All;
RoseAnn, Renee, Beth, and I all were there. We laughed a lot and I myself cried a little too. We had things to get back for but I added up our Clinton Support Group table loss and it was about 480 lbs... The ride down with everyone was almost as fun as the program... These girls kept me in stitches....
Sometimes it's the quiet ones that really get going!!!!! LOL
Glad to see everyone
TTFN GOD BLESS
Paula
