Gilda,
Welcome to the Iowa boards - a great place. You will get a lot of support from here. Do you have or want an angel to check on you after your surgery? Let us know so we can post for someone to keep us updated on how everything goes for you.
Please let us know if we can do anything else for you. Know that you are not alone in your quest for health. We're right here beside you in the journey.
Welcome and God bless,
Andrea
I was amazingly calm the day of surgery. I just knew it was the right thing to be doing, and it certainly has been. I prayed about it and a calmness came over me. I was apprehensive about being able to eat afterwards. Heck, some days I still am. It's a learning curve. Just remember that your pouch is smarter than you!
Best of luck on Thursday!
Lyn
Gilda,
Best of luck to you on your surgery! This site is awesome isn't it? I don't think I would have had my surgery if it weren't for the info I got from here!
To answer your question, I guess I wasn't nearly as concerned about the way my life would change as I was about how it WASN'T going to change IF I DIDN'T DO SOMETHING! I really wasn't a participant in life, I kind of watched from the sidelines. I'm not really out of my shell yet, as evidenced from my 'lurking' on this board instead of posting, but I'm trying and it's going to get better.
Hoping you have an uncomplicated procedure and a speedy recovery! Welcome to the Iowa Board!
