Independence Day
As I sit back and look at all of the things that I am thankful for this Independence Day, here are some of the ones at the top of my list.
1. Most importantly, I am grateful to all the military men/women who are sacrificing time, and effort to keep us free - not only those currently, but those who have in the past as well.
2. I am thankful that I can now shop in regular stores for clothing - no more big/tall shops for me - well maybe the tall once in awhile.
3. I am thankful for bariatric surgeons, who are giving us the tools we need to live happy/healthy lifestyles.
4. I am glad to be independent of all pains/medications, etc - not that I was taking any prior to my surgery, but it was bound to happen.
There are many more, but I will leave it at that.
There is one Independence that this surgery has taken from me, and for that I am also extremely grateful. I am no longer single, as I have been happily seeing someone who is filling a void in my life, and hopefully I in hers.
To finish my rambling - please keep all of those people who are/have given so unselfishly of there time and effort to keep us independent in your thoughts and prayers on this beautiful Independence Day
