6/28 Roll Call and goals
LISA'S IN THE CENTURY CLUB - LISA'S IN THE CENTURY CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, you should have posted that you had lost over 100 pounds. Doesn't it feel wonderful? Congratulations! Have fun shirt shopping. What size are you in now? You will be going down in sizes fast.
Taking classes with ADHD has to be hard. I'm sure that you will learn some good skills with the counselor. Classes in general can be hard. Good luck on the power point presentation. I still have never done one of those. I'm sure that you will do wonderfully!
Good luck on everything,
God bless,
Andrea
Hello all,
Well this week was a struggle, I have reached my first platue and I DON'T LIKE IT! I have stayed the same weight all week, but I guess it didn't come on over night so why would I expect it to come off over night.
Last weeks goals didn't happen. I didn't get enough fluids, I didn't walk every day, and I didn't get my house organized. I did however, get my iron problem taken care of, I have to delute the iron with just plain COLD water and take right after I eat either soup or tuna.
New goals,
1. Get fluids in!!!!!
2. Walk, or use the air walker in my spare room!
3. Get boxes so I can organize my room (old clothes, new clothes, old school work, new school work, papers, papers, papers--I don't think I have tossed a paper out since I started my Masters program 2 years ago)
4. Don't obsess over the scale--it will happen (Could I be the first person to fail at this?--This is the platue I hit and then things go sour for me)
5. Have faith in myself--and you all!!
Good luck on all your goals, I keep you all in my prayers!

Jackie,
First off, remember that your body is going through some traumatic changes right now. I remember that at about 6 weeks out, I was on a two week plateau. It just ticked me off to no ends, that's why I don't weigh except for at the center once a month during support group. My philosophy is that at that point, my body was saying - "hey, you're going to starve me, so I'm going to start reserving every last calorie," thus my metabolism slowed down greatly. When you are able, exercise should help to increase your metabolism. Besides, with time, you will get off that plateau.
Glad to hear that things are better with the iron. Good luck with the water and girl, throw that scale away!! Actually, someone told me that she was going to put her scale in her truck so she couldn't weigh every morning when she was getting ready for work. Find something to do with it so you don't weigh everyday.
Lastly, have faith in yourself. Just making the choice for surgery was a hard one. Keep up the good work!
God bless,
Andrea
Lyn,
Hope that these week you don't have the problems with getting sick as much. Are you eating foods that are not agreeing with you? Why do you think that you are getting sick so often? Remember, if your little tummy does not like some of the foods that you are eating, go back to one of the previous food stages, such as pureed, for a day and see how that does. Then eat foods that you know are safe for a while and don't try the bothersome food until a later time.
Great job parking in the boondocks! Have fun working out. I know that you can do it.
God bless,
Andrea
HELLO ALL from Cedar Rapids!!! I know it's been too long since I have been on here. No excuses just very busy and not enough hours in the day as we all seem to have the same symptoms. Goals has not been too much of a priority for me, but I think I found the secret to losing weight. I went on vacation with me 2 boys, sister, neice, and mom we went to Gulf Shores Alabama and I lost 10 pounds in 5 days, although not by choice. I am or used to be a seafood junkie but the whole time we were gone I was able to eat a handful of shrimp and that was it!!!! nothing would stay down so drank a lot of Lemonade light and sugar free kool aid. It rained the whole time we were gone so it doesn't even feel like we were on vacation. Anyways just though I would say hi I am still here and just getting through day by day. I have lost 83 pounds and 5 months out. Can't wait to hit the 100 mark!!! Take care and good luck with goals.
Oh, Leslea, that does not sound like too fun of a vacation! Sorry to hear that it did not go well. On the other hand, you are right around the corner from joining the century club. Wow! That is a great job. Hope eating is better now that you are home.
Have a good rest of your week and a safe weekend,
God bless,
Andrea
