Hi everybody just getting a little scared i guess as surgery is approaching soon on july 12 and heard about gastric bypass related death on news last night of quad city woman and maybe just nervous in general but excited I see the staff on june 28 for all final preperation before surgery guess the unknown is the scariest any sugesstions to quiet the nerves?

Hello Barb, I think I saw you at the last meeting In Davenport I was also scared and heard people dying from surgey but I looked at it its going to make me feel so much better and to live a longer life. you wont regret it I would do it again in a heart beat I'm so much happier that I did it. good luck to you remember if you have any questions feel free to ask anytime. take care Laurie

Hi Barb: Good to talk to you tonight. Use your support group here. Go to the main page and look at all the before and after pictures so you can inhale all the successes. We don't know enough about the cir****tances of that surgery to jump to conclusions. And remember, you have lots of support, we all felt that way before we went into surgery, focus on your new future. Thinking about you, Eileen

Look at that, Barb, You have a great angel (Eileen) and are getting wonderful support here! Keep reading, posting, etc. Call someone when you are worried. Research the internet - there's tons of info out there. Keep yourself informed and keep talking to us. Also make sure that you have some good support at home. We're here for you, hon.
