I'm at my witts end....HELP!!!
I don't post much but I really enjoy hearing from you guys. I need some input please. I am 10 month out and have lost 107 pounds. I know that is "GREAT" but my prblem is I'm not loosing what I feel I should be loosing. I exer**** five days a week if not more. My exercise consists of walking four miles, riding my bike ten miles or riding my recumbant bike 30 min. Not bad in my opinion. One day I rode twenty miles. I could never have done that last year. I know God has blessed me with a healthier life and a better outlook. But...... I'm still overwieght. I'm still plus size. I'm only loosing around two or three pounds a month. This has been for the last four months. According to my doctor I should be able to lose another 60 pounds. At this rate it will take ..... along time. My eating habits are not perfect. They are nowhere near out of control. Some times I feel I can eat more than I should be able to. Other times I think I can't hold another bite. Everything is just all over the board. Nothing seems to help me lose faster. Please help me. Thanks so much for your time and any thoughts will be greatly appriciated.
Blessings to all
DeAnne
Only being 5 wks out, all I can offer is go back to the basics. Protein firs****er, water, water. Are you getting enough to eat? You should have 70 gms of protein a day and 1000-1200 calories. Are you watching your carbs? Eating carbs will cause you to crave them and be hungry. Are you observing the no drink rule with and for 45 mins after your meals? I hope this helps! I only hope that I have lost at least 107 pounds at 10 months out!

Hiya DeAnne...First off you are doing GREAT!!! With all the exercise you are doing, it could be that you are building muscle. Iam almost 6 months out and am losing alot slower now....Ive come to realize that this is ok, Ive always heard the slower the better, who knows!!!
Anyways keep up the good work!!!

I agree with what one of the ladies said in your post it could be more muscle because wow you sure do exercise it just might be that you ned some more advice from people on here that exercise alot an dmaybe need to change something with the way you eat to keep up with all that exercise well good Luck I wish I could help you keep your chin up at least your losing and not gaining look at the bright side things will get better.

DeAnna,
Does your surgeon's office have one of those scales that checks BMI, water in the body, lean muscle weight, etc.? At my 3 month check-up, the print out from the scales showed that I had lost more fat than I had lost weight. The surgeon was puzzled and had the nurse manager call the scale company. They were told that I was an ideal patient because I was well hydrated and had lost fat and gained muscle. MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!!! I would have that checked if you still are in question. You do tons of exercise and my guess would be that is what has happened.
I would also try to go back to the basics with protein and water.
Hang in there, hon and keep up the good work. You are successful on your journey and can lose those last few pounds!
God bless,
Andrea
